The Bull is Back! Market Rallies on Taper Talks
Market Recap: After a initial sell-off of the markets on the FED taper headline, we reversed course and rallied extensively. We had mentioned at length in the AM meeting, and the pre fed meeting how the first move is typically the wrong move. When the initial Taper headline came out, we impulsed down sharply straight through lows. At that point it seemed obvious we were not going down much further and had the scenario for a reversal.
We started calling out longs, and basically a rising tide raised ALL ships and we had out biggest up day in quite a while. Gold which was up sharply earlier has 180 degree reversal and closed on lows - and looks lower short term

Classic intraday chart showing 1st move is the wrong move on Fed day seen here $ES_F $SPY $QQQ >>>
Markets ended closing up 1.85 in the S&P and Dow, The Nasdaq ended up 1.15%. This is after we dropped 15 points on the SP initial. So the total range for the day is significant. Around 2.5%!
This is a solid indicator for stocks for the rest of the year and the fist quarter next year.
Overnight Longs:
$F Ford
$CCL - Has earnings tomorrow am
$VNDA - Expecting FDA approval 1/31/13

Facebook to Start Selling Video Ads -- Update

Facebook Inc. said it would begin selling video advertisements later this
week, a move that may help the social-networking giant capture a share of the
annual $66.4 billion TV advertising market.
The ads will start appearing Thursday both on the Web and on smartphones,
according to people familiar with the matter. They will play automatically in
users' news feeds--though the sound will be off, Facebook said Tuesday.
How long they will be is unknown. In August, The Wall Street Journal
reported Facebook planned to offer ads of up to 15 seconds on both smartphones
and the Web.

Twitter Test Shows 'Nearby' Tweets - Full WSJ Story
I like this story for one specific reason. I'm a big fan of using Social Medias for business purposes, but not so much for personal as for me its too invasive. While I would not be interested in sharing my location for personal matters (ie: the fine cuisine I'm eating at a Cafe in Venice Italy) But I would share business events at the Nasdaq, NYSE, and on Wall St where I'm broadcasting and trading from daily...I imagine the MSM which is arguably one of the biggest users of Twitter wiil really be excited to use this feature. Merchants as well will be especially excited once its grasped. Long Twitter and Facebook...Tim

Twitter has an eye on your location -- and is testing ways to share it
with other nearby users.
The short-messaging service appears to be testing a new timeline for its
mobile app, called "Nearby." It shows recent nearby tweets, whether you follow
the tweeter or not.
The "Nearby" timeline has appeared occasionally in recent days on the
phones of users who allow Twitter to see and use their location.
The apparent test could be part of an effort to prompt more users to share
their location. That would make the network more locally relevant, in the manner
of Foursquare. It also would allow Twitter to offer advertisers more precise
targeting capabilities.

Twitter Rises 30% - Weekly Review & Preview
We had a very interesting and profitable trading week in the Online Trading Room - Mostly in Social Media Stocks with $FB Facebook rising on an add to the S&P 500 Cash Index. Facebook closed well, has multiple white shu firm $62 plus price targets, has all time highs just above at $54.75 and solid relative strength.
$TWTR had an extreme 30% move with RBC raising their price target $27 points to $60. I suspect these stocks to continue much higher presently.
I'll Be back on the Wall Street Desk this week if anyone needs to discuss trading, upcoming education, or yearly reviews.

Tesla to introduce a $40k Sedan in 2015 - Late Friday PR
Tesla Motors plans to debut cheaper sedan in early 2015

By David Undercoffler, Los Angeles Times
Dec. 13--Tesla Motors plans to unveil an electric car in early 2015 that
could sell in the $40,000 range, a mainstream offering that could be key to
the automaker's future growth.
Tesla's only current offering is the Model S, a premium sport sedan that
starts at $71,070 before any state or federal tax incentives, and can cost far
more with options. In late 2014, the Palo Alto automaker plans to release a
long-awaited Model X sport-utility, likely to sell in the same price range.
The third, lower-priced model could make its official debut at the 2015
North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Tesla confirmed Friday. It
would probably begin selling in 2016.

Stocks splits may be mostly dead, but mostly dead is partially alive.
MasterCard announced a 10-for-1 stock split after the closing bell on
Tuesday, as well as a dividend boost and a $3.5 billion buyback program.
Shares were up modestly in late trading on the news.
It's not hard to see why the company wanted to split the shares: At
Tuesday's closing price of $778.88, shares were getting into that heady range
in which few companies tread. The stock, in fact, has been on a nearly vertical
ascent since its 2006 IPO, and is up roughly 60% this year alone.

Morgan Stanley's Scott Devitt today pounds the table in favor of shares of
Internet daily deals purveyor Groupon ( GRPN), reiterating an Overweight rating
and a $15 price target -- mind you, with a target time frame of 2015 --
writing that his meeting with management gives him confidence the company is "on
the path to become a unique mobile commerce marketplace at scale."
Groupon shares today are up 51 cents, or 5.3%, at $10.13.
Devitt writes that Lefkofsky explained in their meeting a number of
initiatives the company has underway that Lefkofsky thinks investors don't fully
appreciate.
Those things include investing money in mobile technology and " reducing
the friction to Groupon redemptions," meaning the ease with which consumers are
able to use a coupon at a merchant.
Devitt observes that Groupon still has to build out some major areas of
its technology, things as simple as how it tracks deals it has issued:
